Magaliesberg Mountain Range

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) has declared the Magaliesberg mountain range (one of the oldest mountains in the world) as a world biosphere reserve. The announcement was made at the 27th Session of the International Coordinating Council of the Man and Biosphere Programme at Unesco headquarters in Paris.

The Reserve supports a diverse range of flora and fauna - covers almost 358 000ha. including 443 bird species (almost half the total bird species of southern Africa). The highest point is the Nooitgedacht peak, located 1 852m above sea level.

Lion Park

The mission of the Lion Park is to provide an opportunity for tourists, both international and local , to learn more about our wonderful African animals. The Lion Park offer an unforgettable wildlife experience and wealth of exciting activities for the whole family. You are guaranteed to get extremely close to white lion and over twenty other African wildlife species. There are grazing areas where you will see zebra, gemsbuck, giraffe, blesbuck and springbuck just to mention a few.
There is also an opportunity to touch the lion cubs

Elephant Sanctuary

The Elephant Sanctuary - South Africa The Elephant Sanctuary, started in 1999, grew from five elephants to a total of twelve African Elephants (Loxodonta Africana). These Elephants have been domesticated through positive reinforcement animal management principles, and as a result, provide us with the unique opportunity to interact with them. Visitors are taken on a journey into the world of the African elephant and are guided through an unforgettable experience with these magnificent creatures. Visitors are able to touch, feed and get to know these animals.
The Elephant Sanctuary is unique in that it offers visitors the incredible opportunity to walk hand-in-trunk with the elephants. Enter the world of the Elephant with Elephant Back Riding. Bare-back Elephant Back Riding enables us as humans to feel the power and bulk of an elephant in contrast with the quietness, delicateness and grace of these mammoth creatures' movement as they walk/glide across the ground. Understand the height at which an elephant stands and experience their environment from an elephant's perspective.

Lesedi Cultural Village

Lesedi Culture Village - The Place of Light - is a multi-cultural African village, an hour's drive from Pretoria and Johannesburg and offers the following: Guests are invited to the Ndebele village where an additional welcome by all the people of Lesedi, takes place.

The cultural program begins with a multi-visual presentation on the history and origins of today's rainbow nation. This is followed by a guided tour of the four ethnic homesteads - Zulu, Basotho, Xhosa and Pedi

As the sun sets over the African bush, guests are escorted to the Boma for traditional singing and dancing (you are voluntarily requested to participate in this) depicting stories that date back to the days of their ancestors. The guests are then treated to a Pan African Buffet in the Nyama Choma Restaurant with delicacies from North, East, and Southern Africa.

A man without culture is like a Zebra without stripes
