8-Day itinerary overview
The tour begins with a morning departure from OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg),
travelling via Potchefstroom and Klerksdorp before continuing to Namaqualand.
Exact routing may adjust slightly based on bloom conditions and weather — that’s how we maximise the flower display.
Day 1 – OR Tambo (05h30) → Potchefstroom → Klerksdorp → Northern Cape (overnight)
Early departure with comfort stops and pickups at Potchefstroom and Klerksdorp. Overnight in the Northern Cape region.
Day 2 – Namaqualand / Goegap region
Flower viewing and scenic drives in key Namaqualand areas, including Goegap-style landscapes and peak bloom zones.
Day 3 – Namaqua National Park / Skilpad area
We visit high-impact flower routes where conditions are best and spend time photographing the bloom fields.
Day 4 – West Coast flower regions/Biedouw Valley
We travel south towards the West Coast and explore flower hotspots along the coastal belt.
Day 5 – Paternoster & coastal scenery
Relaxed coastal morning and photography. Local culture, fishing village atmosphere and scenic stops.
Day 6 – Nieuwoudtville (bulb capital)
Nieuwoudtville area flower displays and landscapes (seasonal). A highlight for many guests.
Day 7 – Interior route & classic small towns
We route back through interesting interior landscapes and stop at viewpoints and local highlights.
Day 8 – Return to OR Tambo International Airport
Final scenic drive back. Drop-off late afternoon/early evening depending on traffic.
